After qualifying doctorate in cardiology (DM) in 1993, Dr. Jagtap worked as a lecturer at Grant Medical College & Sir J.J Group of Hospitals Mumbai (1993-1995). He was further trained under Dr. Ferdinand Kiemeneij at the world famous Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis (OLVG)- Amsterdam Department of Interventional Cardiology, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The center is known for the pioneer work in Transradial Angioplasty & Stenting procedures. Dr. Jagtap was recently awarded fellowship of American College of Cardiology (FACC) at 53rd convocation held at New Orleans, USA(2004). Dr. Jagtap is the President of Cardiological Society of India, Vidarbha Chapter(2005-06)
