Left sided
failure leads to shortness of breath, dyspnea on exertion,
paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea (dyspnea during night)
orthopnea (unable to breath other than upright position)
cough, fatigue, restlessness, insomnia, and tachycardia.
Right-sided failure leads to edema
of the ankle, weight gain, liver enlargement, distended
neck veins, anorexia, nausea, nocturia (dieresis during
night) weakness. |
