WHKI organises Prostate Cancer Awareness Programme

WHKI's moving tableau brings public attention to prostrate cancer

West Bengal Health Minister Dr. Surjya Kanta Mishra inaugurated a month-long prostate cancer awareness programme organised by Kolkata-based Wockhardt Hospital & Kidney Institute (WHKI). Sujoy Chakraborty, Commissioner of Police, and other senior officials of the Kolkata police also attended the launch. The highlights of the programme included the issue of 'PROST cheques' to policemen above the age of 50, which could be encashed for a PSA test and free consultation. Senior citizens were also offered check-ups and consultations at special rates. A moving tableau (display) made its rounds of the city and spread awareness about prostate cancer.
