"Wockhardt Hospitals recently announced its entry into Andhra Pradesh in a long-term association with the Kamineni Group, a well-known medical education and healthcare group in the state. Hyderabadis amongst the leading Indian cities with a high prevalence of coronary heart disease and diabetes.
Wockhardt will establish two world-class heart hospitals in the city, which will be operational in the coming months, followed by the introduction of other specialities like orthopaedics, neurology and minimal access surgery. This will provide 300 beds for super speciality treatment in Hyderabad. The two heart hospitals in Hyderabad will be linked to all other heart hospitals in the Wockhardt Group which will share their knowledge and expertise to give heart patients in the city the advantage of their collective experience.
"As a national hospital chain, we are delighted to enter Hyderabad, a healthcare city with renowned institutions like the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences," said our Chairman Habil Khorakiwala at a press conference held in Hyderabad in April. Wockhardt also brings to patients in Hyderabad the rich medical expertise from its exclusive association with Harvard Medical International, the global arm of Harvard Medical School.
