The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a one-day Health Conclave in February in Mumbai, which brought together leaders in the healthcare delivery sector from across the country.
The conclave's theme was 'Gearing up for the New Age Healthcare Delivery'. The meet focussed on critical needs of the sector such as quality, service delivery and patient satisfaction, besides addressing issues of leadership. The Governor of Maharashtra, S M Krishna, inaugurated the conference. Vishal Bali, Vice-President - Operations, at Wockhardt Hospitals was the conference chairman.
Our Chairman delivered the keynote address. He said that Indian healthcare was at a crossroad - with its world-class, contemporary medical specialists, the emergence of the organised sector and the potential for medical tourism, despite government apathy. A major part of his speech was on healthcare delivery - the Wockhardt way, wherein he talked about Wockhardt Hospitals' vision and the working of its unique model.
In his conclusion, he shared the four-pronged combination for success -- professionalism, ethical practices, speed of action and entrepreneurship.
