WHHI is India's Best IT User in Healthcare

Wockhardt's Vishal Bali and Suresh Shenoy accept the award for Best IT user in Healthcare from NASSCOM President Kiran Karnik

When technology adds to one's global competitiveness and translates into customer benefits, we have a winning combination. And that's exactly what our Wockhardt Hospital & Heart Institute turned out to be... a winner; this time, winning the prestigious NASSCOM - Economic Times' IT User Award for the year 2004.

The awards were jointly instituted by NASSCOM, India's premier trade body of the software and service, industry, and Economictimes.com, the online edition of the leading financial daily. The awards aimed at recognising excellence in the use of IT across 10 industry verticals. Over 200 user organisations participated in the survey. The awards were based on an in-depth assessment model that evaluated the companies on four parameters: IT preparedness and policy, IT infrastructure, people and processes, and IT implementation benefits.

On August 31, the winners were announced in a felicitation function at Hotel Hilton Towers in Mumbai. Our Bangalore hospital was declared the winner in the healthcare category beating several other hospital chains. In keeping with its patient-centric focus, Wockhardt Hospitals is using the power of information technology not only to enhance efficiencies in clinical care but also to provide an environment where patients and their families experience a new paradigm of care.
