Dr. VivekJawali is awarded the Rajyotsava

Dr. Vivek Jawali has been honoured by the Karnataka state government for excellence in medicine. Every year, the Government selects personalities who excel in their respective fields and awards them the Rajyotsava. Dr. Jawali is the Chief Cardiovascular Surgeon at our Bangalore heart hospital - WHHI. He has performed 13,000 heart surgeries and is the pioneer of beating heart coronary bypass surgery in the Australasian region and the world's leading authority in the area of conscious offpump coronary artery bypass surgery. Congratulations, Dr. Jawali !

Dr. Zinobia is honoured by National Academy of Medical Sciences

Dr. Zinobia Madan has been elected member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, India this year. The academy is one of the highest academic bodies in the country. Every year, it elects fellows and members in various medical specialities who have made outstanding contributions. Dr. Zinobia was the only member elected from the city of Mumbai. She is based at the Corporate Office in Mumbai and is General Manager-Clinical Research. Congrats, Dr. Zinobia!

In April, in a grand gathering of Jaycees Presidents and members in Nagpur, National President T Murthy felicitated our Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon Dr. K G Jayaprasanna. Dr. Jayaprasanna, who is based at our Wockhardt Heart Hospital in Nagpur, is a reputed surgeon. He is actively involved in social awareness programmes to prevent heart diseases, and has offered his services free of cost to underprivileged patients from the villages of Vidarbha. Congratulations, Dr. Jayaprasanna!

Suresh Shenoy represents Wockhardt at CIO Meet

Wockhardt has become part of the TCS Pharma CIO Club. Suresh Shenoy, Vice-President Information Technology, represented Wockhardt at the club's first meeting in Mumbai. The club has 10 members, of which Wockhardt is one of them. The club's objective is to provide an informal forum where Chief Information Officers (CIOs) of major Indian pharmaceutical companies can collaborate and share best practices.

Singing duo participants in popular TV programme

Dr. Ashish Mahajan and wife Yogita were runners-up in ZEE TV's popular musical game 'Sansui Antakshari'.. The channel held auditions in Aurangabad and more than 3,000 aspiring participants gathered to prove their singing mettle. The Mahajans were the only contestants from Aurangabad to be selected.. Dr. Mahajan is Research Associate - New Drug Discovery at our R&D Centre in Aurangabad. This talented couple has been singing as a team for the past 10 years and are professional singers too.
