WHKI creates milestone in Eastern India

Wockhardt created 8record by successfully performing 1,000 PCNL (percutaneous nephrolithotomy) surgeries at WHKI in September, and becoming the first hospital in eastern India to do so. PCNL is performed when it is not possible to treat kidney stone through ESWL (extracorporeal shock-wave lithroscopy).

Following the record surgeries in September, the number of kidney stone cases treated at WHKI till date has crossed 10,000.
