Wockhardt Hospitals has established telemedicine connectivity with Goa Medical College at the college campus in Panaji.
Goa's health minister, Suresh Amonkar, who inaugurated the telemedicine centre in June, said that the new facility would be a boon to medical students who will now be able to watch the latest procedures conducted at Wockhardt Hospitals and interact with its doctors. "This link allows us online access to ECGs, x-rays and investigation reports of patients in Goa, enabling us to discuss treatment options with Goa's doctors whenever required. Patients who have been advised to undergo surgery, will now be able to consult us. It will save them from travelling a long distance for consultation," said Dr. Ranganath Nayak, Interventional Cardiologist at Wockhardt.
