Wockhardt's Suraksha Bandhan (Protection Bond) initiative was launched in Kolkata on World Health Day (April 7) in the presence of Honourable Governor of West Bengal, Viren Shah. Children from various schools, and their grandparents were present for the event. The students read out a pledge, committing themselves to take care of their elders. They presented their grandparents with a dedication card and tied the Suraksha Bandhan band on the elder's wrist. The event was also attended by special guests, Olympian footballer Sailen Manna, and renowned Bengali actress Sabitri Chatterjee.
