Dr.Geeta Billa, is a physician gastroenterologist by training, having done her DM and DNB in Gastroenterology at KEM hospital, Mumbai.

Subsequently she trained for two years in Hepatology and Liver Transplant at the Toronto General Hospital, one of the top ten centers for Liver Transplantation in North America.

During her training at Toronto, she has published and presented several papers on Hepatitis B, C and CMV in the post transplant period. Some of these studies are the most sited references in any review on these subjects. In addition to this she was a coinvestigator for some of the major trials immunosuppressive medications in liver transplantation. She has also recently spent some time as a visiting consultant in the division of Hepatology and Liver transplantation, Mount Sinai Hospital, New York.

At present she in addition to her clinical practice is actively involved in teaching of the DM Gastroenterology students at Nair and KEM hospital.
