Dr.Vivek. M.Rege is a highly qualified Pediatric
Surgeon with an overall experience of over 20yrs
in the various superspecialities of Pediatric
surgery like pediatric urology, neonatal surgery,
intensive care, pediatric oncology & pediatric
gastroenterology.
Dr Rege has been trained at very prestigious
institutes in India like the KEM Hospital and
the B J Wadia Hospital for Children in Mumbai.
He went for further intensive training in the
different subspecialties of his subject to the
USA.Here, he worked as a Fellow at the world
renowned institutes like Mayo Clinic, Rochester,
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and
the Children’s National Medical Center
Washington D C. In the course of his training
in USA, Dr Vivek Rege got a tremendous exposure
to complicated Hypospsdias with Dr John Duckett
& Dr.Snyder, pediatric urological conditions
with Dr.Kelalis, Dr Belman; urinary incontinence
& nocturnal enuresis with Dr David Barett
& Dr Stephan Kramer; trauma management with
world famous Dr. Eichelberger
After returning from his training at USA, Dr
Rege was appointed as Consultant at Sir Hurkisondas
Hospital in 1990.recently, he has also been
appointed as a Honorary at the B J Wadia hospital
for
Children where he is actively involved in teaching
both undergraduate & postgraduates. From
January 2004, he has joined the Wockhardt Hospital
as a Consultant Pediatric Surgeon & Pediatric
Urologist.
Dr. Rege has over 40 publication to his credit,
that include 10 chapters in Recent advances
in Pediatrics; he also has more than 120 presentations
in various for a including Guest Lectures. He
has also taken training in Laproscopic surgery.
