Dr. DEVANANDA is a highly experienced adult and pediatric cardiac surgeon. He holds special interest in pediatric cardiac surgery and aortic surgery. He has served as a consultant in some of the leading cardiac centers in the country, and has to his credit one of the highest number of pediatric cardiac surgeries in India.

He has been performing various types of complex repairs for congenital cardiac pathologies which includes neonates (even as young as one day or a few hours after birth). He routinely does emergency switch operations in newborns. He has conducted complex surgeries, like Rostelli’s operation, double switches, the Norwood procedure of hypo plastic left heart and ROSS operation for aortic valve replacements, in large numbers with excellent results and success rates.

His distinction as a cardiovascular surgeon is his vast experience in heart surgeries of all nature. Apart from routine coronary bypass grafting and valve replacements (CABG), he has successfully performed many complex aortic surgeries, like the Bentall procedure, ascending aortic and aortic arch replacements, homograft replacement of aortic valve, replacement of descending thoracic aorta for aneurysm and ruptured dissections, etc.
