Dr. S. Nagesh has over thirty years of experience in the field of Paediatrics and Neonatology. Dr. Nagesh has
achieved numerous honours and Gold Medals from Kurnool Medical College, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, and
obtained his MBBS degree along with the Award for The Best Outgoing Student.
He completed his specialty of Paediatrics at the prestigious national institution-The Postgraduate Institute of
Medical Education and Research at Chandigarh. He underwent a special training in the field of Neonatology, apart
from his area of interest in infectious diseases. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (Paediatrics) with a Bronze
Medal for his meritorious performance.
After a stint in a teaching position at the institute, he came to Bangalore, where he practiced Paediatrics, before
accepting the post of a Specialist Paediatrician with the Ministry of Health, Libya.
After his return at various hospitals in Karnataka, and has been instrumental in establishing neonatal care units in
these places.
He has the credit of having diagnosed some of the rare diseases for the first time in this country -he has presented
some of these at the Pediatric academic meetings; held an honorary teaching position at the Dr. SRC Institute of
Speech and Hearing, Bangalore; also an enthusiastic supporter of the use of computers in pediatric office practice
and has developed software for the same. |
