Dr. S.V. Banavalikar brings to Wockhardt Hospitals more than 15 years of experience in the field of
Diabetic Surgery. He was Lecturer of General Surgery for about two and half years in Dr.V.M.M.
College, Solapur. He was Hon. Surgeon at All India Institute of Diabetes in S.L. Raheja Hospital,
Mahim, Mumbai for about 9 years. He has worked as a Hon. Surgeon & Specialist in Diabetic
Surgery in Ashwini Hospital & Solapur Sahakari Rugnalaya, both in Solapur. He started Diabetes &
Surgical Care Clinic for General Surgical & Diabetic Patients.
He has conducted more than 100 lectures & Educative Camps on Diabetes & Surgery all over
Maharashtra for patients, General Practitioners Specialists etc. He is the member of Diabetic
Association of India & Diabetic Foot Society of India. He has presented Photographic Poster
depicting Conservative Amputations in Jeopardised Diabetic Foot Lesions in International
Conferrence by Diabetes India 2002. He has his article on Use of Fish Oil in Management of
Diabetic Ulcers published in chapter 72, Book of Diabetic Neuropathy by John Word & also in
Diabetes Journal of American Diabetic Association. His papers on various subjects like Studies of
Nervesz & arteries in Diabetic patients by Electron Microscopy, Grading Diabetic lesion etc.
published in Journals of Diabetic Association of India, Mumbai.
