Dr D.V. Rajakumar is a leading neurosurgeon having over two decades of experience in conducting and pioneering complex procedures of brain and spine. Minimal Access surgical approaches to neurological diseases is his forte. Dr Rajakumar has undergone a clinical fellowship in skull base surgery at Wayne state University, Detroit U.S.A.

He completed his neurosurgery training programme from NIMHANS, Bangalore and has over 17 years of experience as a neurosurgeon. His areas of interest have been brain tumors, cerebrovascular diseases and spine.

Achievements:
- Pioneered newer approaches and methods of dealing with complex brain and spine lesions and procedures like trans nasal endoscopic brain tumor removal and pedicle screw fixation for spine injuries
- Helped develop the cadaver laboratory at the Harper Hospital and carried out many dissections of the human skull and brain
- Currently developing new Endoscopic approaches for handling diseases of brain and spine
